Parking instructions

Where to park

The infrared and yoga studio has its own dedicated car park — separate from the reformer studio. As you drive into South Barn, continue past the first car park (green gate — reformer only) and follow the drive further down to the second car park.

Infrared & Yoga Studio

Second car park — brown gate on the right

Continue past the first (green gate) car park and drive further down to the house car park. The brown gate is on the right. This car park is for infrared studio, yoga and Mat Pilates classes only.

Follow the signs for the Infrared Studio once you have parked.

Do not use the first car park (green gate) — this is for reformer pilates classes only. Using the correct car park helps classes flow without disruption.

About the infrared studio

What to expect
from the studio

The infrared studio is a warm, intimate space designed to enhance every class with gentle heat and red light therapy. It feels different to a standard yoga studio — the air is warm from the moment you walk in, and the red light panels create a calm, low-lit atmosphere.

🦶
Barefoot studio

The infrared studio is a barefoot space. Remove your shoes before entering. You do not need grip socks for yoga and infrared classes.

🌡️
Infrared heat & red light

The studio uses infrared heat panels and red light therapy throughout every class. The warmth is gentle and therapeutic — not intense or suffocating.

🪧
Follow the signs

Once parked, follow the signs for the Infrared Studio. The entrance is separate from the main reformer studio building.

👥
Small groups

Classes are small and intimate. The instructor will introduce themselves and guide you through everything — no experience needed.

What to wear & bring

Arrive prepared

The studio is warm, so wear light, breathable clothing. You will sweat more than a standard yoga class — this is normal and part of the benefit.

💧
Water

Bring a full water bottle. Staying hydrated is important in the infrared environment — drink before, during and after class.

🧺
Small towel

Bring a small towel for your mat. You will work up a sweat, especially in the heated classes.

👗
Light, breathable clothing

Yoga leggings and a fitted top work well. Avoid heavy fabrics. Men: lightweight shorts and a vest or t-shirt.

🦶
Bare feet

No socks or shoes needed — the infrared studio is a barefoot space. Leave footwear at the entrance.

📵
Switch to silent

The studio is a calm, focused space. Please switch your phone to silent before entering.

Infrared heat & red light

What the heat
actually does

Infrared heat warms the body from within rather than heating the surrounding air — it's gentler than a sauna but deeply effective. It helps muscles relax faster, increases blood flow and supports deeper stretching throughout the class.

Red light therapy, used throughout every class, supports cellular recovery, reduces inflammation and improves skin health. Most members notice they feel significantly better after class than after a standard yoga session.

First class tip: If the warmth feels intense at first, that's completely normal. The body adapts quickly. Take your time, breathe steadily and don't push beyond your comfortable range. The instructor will always offer modifications.

Frequency

How often should
you come?

The infrared studio complements reformer training beautifully — many members use both. Here's what to expect at different attendance levels:

1×
Per week
You will feel the benefit — reduced tension, better sleep and improved flexibility over time.
2×
Per week
You will see physical changes — better posture, visible tone and a noticeable improvement in how your body moves.
3–4×
Per week
Combine infrared yoga with reformer classes for full-body transformation and maximum recovery benefit.

What to expect

After your
first class

Most members leave their first infrared class feeling noticeably different — lighter, calmer and more mobile than they expected. The combination of heat, red light and movement has a deeply restorative effect.

You may feel more tired than usual after your first session as the body adjusts to the infrared environment. This passes quickly. Drink plenty of water after class to support the detoxification process and replace lost fluids.

Tip: If you've booked a Sound Bath class, arrive a few minutes early to settle in before the session starts. The Sound Bath classes are slower and deeply relaxing — they work best when you're not rushing to get to the mat.
